Sir,
In accordance with the commands of His Excellency the Governor, conveyed in your letter No. of the 24th Ultimo, a careful examination of the furniture of the Government House has been made. As set forth in the schedule of articles delivered to Sir John Davis in May 1844, together with sundry purchases since,
The following articles are considered not suited for actual use, and as worn out by wear and tear are unfit for the Public Service; their sale by auction would realise but little.
The Honble Major H. Caine, Colonial Secretary.
